MARY’S REFLECTIONS
Jesus
my son
Borne to me on wings of angels
The bright star’s light surrounding you
Alleluias being sung by the heavenly host
Shepherds and kings kneeling in reverence to you
In that humble stable in
Bethlehem
Gazing
into your eyes my own overflowed
Aware of the gift your birth was to mankind
Embracing you, my heart was filled with your wonder
As I sang to you the love songs of a mother
My
dreams for you were as any mother for her child
To watch you grow healthy and strong
Allowing you the freedom to explore, to inquire
To Embrace every essential element of your life
Your
path chosen since time’s beginning
Teaching in the temple, changing water into wine
Feeding multitudes with loaves and fishes
Not casting the first stone, anointing, anointed
Always about your father’s work
I
remember the Hosannas, the prayers, the healings
The judgments passed by those who knew you not
And now, 33 years later I gaze lovingly into your eyes
As once more wrapped in swaddling clothes I hold you
TO
MANKIND YOU WERE THE SAVIOR
TO ME, MY SON
